First and Foremost

If you are a fan of Sex in the City, then I hope this blog doesn't disappoint you. Journaling is a very important part of self expression. I decided to take it one step forward and write it where you all can read it.

Today is December 31, 2019. As I sit and reflect on the last 364 days, I get anxiety. Holy shit, what a year. What a roller coaster. My 7 year relationship came to a bitter end, I dedicated my days to providing my mother 24 hour care until she passed just days after we celebrated my birthday and days before we could celebrate hers. I spent two months in a deep depression; sometimes 2-3 days at a time, not leaving my bed. Couldn't even get up to shower. It was a struggle to be a mom to my son. ** Shoutout to my sons dad for stepping up and allowing me to greive. He was dad of the year for sure.*** I have been on a healing journey for over a year now and that is what helped me get out of my slump. Its been exhausting, scary, and liberating all in one. So...in conclusion, even though I lost two of the most important people in my life, I have come out so much stronger and wiser. I am excited for 2020 and new beginnings. Im excited to share all the chaos along the way.

By the way, the title black and bleu stands for trials and tribulations of life. Eventually your woes (bruises) will fade.
